About the curriculum We believe our curriculum should be innovative, engaging and meaningful. It should be irresistible and inspire all children for life. We follow the statutory guidelines of the National Curriculum in England but we develop, expand and enrich this with additional activities.

The Monks Abbey characteristics of learning

All of our learning opportunities are underpinned by our 4 characteristics of learning:

- Delight

- Inquiry

- Collaboration

- Creativity

Children will leave Monks Abbey as well-rounded individuals, well ready for the next phase of their education with the foundations laid to prepare them for their journey towards the world of work.
