Curriculum
Our curriculum is shaped by our vision that “Everyone is welcome.” This vision underpins the intent of our curriculum and is reflected in seven key values: everyone is safe and healthy, everyone belongs, everyone has a friend, everyone communicates, everyone is prepared for their next stage, everyone can make a difference, and everyone will be filled with awe and wonder.

Each subject long-term plan begins with a cover page that links the subject to the school vision and outlines how learning is delivered. These plans show clear progression in both substantive knowledge (what pupils know) and disciplinary knowledge (how pupils think and work within the subject). They also set out key vocabulary, assessment expectations at the end of each phase, example questions pupils should be able to ask at each developmental phase, and adapted questioning to support assessing those pupils with SEND. This ensures that all pupils are supported to make progress through an ambitious curriculum.
